Creative Artiste Challenge Blog February Challenge sponsored by Scrapmatts

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is here. I wonder if you have plans. I am going to start looking for a wedding outfit for me. On Saturday evening we are going to our local theatre to see a 50th  anniversary performance of the radio show Round the Horne.

This is something of a sad post for me as it is my last one for the Creative Artiste challenge blog. As many of your know our daughter is getting married later this year. I am making a lot of things for the wedding and sadly at the moment I don't have the time to apply to the mixed media projects. I have had a lovely time on this team. I am very grateful to my fellow team mates for their patience  and tolerance with my abilities.

On to today, on the first Friday of the month the new challenge starts on the Creative Artiste Challenge blog this is challenge 23 the theme is Anything Goes (Mixed Media) and the sponsor is Scrapmatts.

I decided to decorate one of my journal covers. I used one of my kitchen roll backgrounds. I did make quite a few and there is more kitchen roll drying to make some more.

Our lovely sponsors this time.

I have quite a range of nautical dies and I used them to decorate the cover. The ship is a Tattered Lace die.

I was sent some goodies by Scrapmatts  I painted words with acrylic paint. They seemed to be appropriate for a journal.

Enjoy the coming weekend.

Happy Crafting

Hugs Jackie

This really is beautiful Jackie! I did giggle, was 'WEEDING' outfit a slip of the fingers/typo/predictive text - or tongue in cheek? Good luck anyhow :) So exciting - am wondering if you showed the wedding invites and I missed them?

Lovely project Hope the shopping goes well When my son got married I booked an appointment with a personal shopper (free) at my local John Lewis My daughter and I sipped champagne whilst she did all of the running around choosing outfits for me, some I would never have dreamed of trying on It was great AND I chose one of her choices which everybody admired and was perfect as mother of the bridegroom Whatever you do, have fun

This is a lovely journal cover, Jackie. The inky kitchen roll background really looks like the sea. You chose lovely die-cuts and perfect words for decoration. Hope you find an outfit you like this weekend! x
