How is your week going? The weather has been nice here so it has been a pleasure to walk home from work.
I was sent two lots of Tattered Lace dies to make samples with recently and this was the first set to be aired. They were part of the One Day Special that started on Ideal World on Tuesday evening. This set of samples uses the Baroque Flourish Die set and the Essential Flower Die set.
I did see some of my samples on Ideal World when the One Day Special was launched.
I used the dies to frame some cameos I had in my stash.
When I saw the flower dies that first thing I thought of was a water lily and I thought it would go well on a box.
I looked up a Sue Wilson tutorial on how to make dimensional flowers. I had to adapt the method to make it work with this die cuts. I even cut the flowers to make the leaves.
I was rather pleased with how these flowers turned out.
This is the same card being shown on Ideal World on the launch show.
I did use the Baroque flourish die to add detail to the background. The dotty paper was on the back of the flowery paper I used for the flowers.
This card was on TV but it was embellished with a wrap for which I can take no credit.
I enjoyed making this gift basket I though the dies looked so beautiful in black and white.
With the flower dies I had a go at making some daffodils. I created the background with some Brushos. I hadn't used them for a while.
I expect to be posting the next set of samples in a few days time. They are quite different.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
